Wartime in the Cotswolds – April 2018
In April 2018, I went to the Wartime in the Cotswolds weekend. It’s brilliant! So many re-encators in 1940s dress too. Far, far too busy to take many photos, but here are a few.
This is a beautiful engine. My minder says he worked on ‘Manston’ back in the 80s, helping to get it restored.
I’m sitting next to ‘Lottie’ who is with the ATA service. The is station is way outside the Town so we didn’t get off. Train was packed for the return to Toddington.
There isn’t anything so glorious as a steam engine going full-tilt……well perhaps a Spitfire or Hurricane flying by?
Everywhere I go, people want selfies!!! Only too happy to oblige!!
Taking tea with our ‘minders’. Yes it was cold! That’s why flying jackets are being worn. Of course, Lottie and I have a layer of fur to keep us warm!
See you again soon!
