Well the weather wasn’t too great for the first day of our 1940s Weekend. I thought, “it could be worse” and unfortunately I was right, it did get worse with 3 1/2 inches of rain falling overnight Saturday into Sunday. It was so bad, that the Wing Commander was forced to cancel all plans for ops on the Sunday.

Anyway…. ‘Flight’ and I popped over to Yelverton’s Leg O’Mutton shops on Saturday afternoon to see the shop displays there. Beau were awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ for their superb display.

Next up we went to March Hair. Here! Careful with those scissors!! No need for a trim today as I had one during the week! But we loved the window display they did, with lots of vintage odds and ends.

Then it was off to Dartmoor Bakery.

I have to watch my figure but this bun didn’t last long!!

All in all, the shops in Yelverton did the 1940s Event proud! Well done everyone and see you soon!
