Stourhead Visit – October 2017
On our way home from London, we stopped off at Stourhead Garden to see the Autumn colours which are superb at this time of year. But imagine my surprise to find that there was someone living here once called ‘Harry’! It’s a bit sad though because Harry went off to fight in the First World War and never came home.
Anyway, the Garden is lovely! Here’s a view from up near the Temple of Apollo, looking down across the lake.
…….and speaking of Apollo…….do you think I could be him?
Ok….maybe not!
The Garden really is huge and there are some wonderful views. This is me sitting in the Grotto looking back across the lake.
A bit more walking and another view of the garden and lake. That’s the Temple of Apollo (where I was earlier) in the distance.
The there were these trees and I couldn’t resist doing a bit of tree climbing while no-one was looking!
And then I tried to take a selfie and got photo-bombed by my two minders!
Bye for now!
