About RAF Harrowbeer & Harrow ‘Harry’ Bear
RAF Harrowbeer is a former wartime RAF Airfield near Yelverton in Devon. It was open between August 1941 and July 1944 and used by aircrew from many countries during the course of the war.
To celebrate the Airfield and to remember those who gave their lives whilst serving at, or visiting RAF Harrowbeer, each August, there is a 1940s Weekend centred around the dispersal bay alongside Knightstone Tea Rooms.
Harrow ‘Harry’ Bear is the Event’s Mascot! He will be going on trips (with his adopted family) around the UK, visiting other 1940s Events and Museums. His trips will be posted here.
